Maxine Aaronson - HeadshotMaxine Aaronson’s practice is focused on providing tax advice and tax related legal services to businesses, their owners and executives. Since 1980, Ms. Aaronson has specialized in coordinating the intricacies of the Internal Revenue Code with business law and with the personal goals of her clients. Maxine is board certified by the Texas Board of Legal Specialization, having been awarded a certificate of Special Competence in Tax Law in 1986. She uses a client-centered team approach, working closely with the client’s other professional advisers to achieve an optimal result with the lowest possible tax cost to the client.

Ms. Aaronson’s skills have long been recognized by her peers. Ms. Aaronson is rated “AV” by Martindale-Hubbell, the highest rating given for legal ability and ethical standards in the peer review process. She is a Fellow of the American College of Tax Counsel, an honor given to leading members of the bar who have made a significant contribution to the understanding and improvement of our tax system, and served on the governing Board of Regents of that organization from 2012 to 2018.  She served as a member of the Wolters Kluwer Legal Tax Advisory Board, a forum created for the nation’s leading tax lawyers to discuss major tax law and regulatory trends. Thomson Reuters has named her a “Texas SuperLawyer” for 10 years.

Maxine Aaronson is a past chair of the Continuing Legal Education committee for the State Bar of Texas’ Section of Taxation and formerly chaired the Tax Committee of the American Bar Association’s Section of Dispute Resolution.  She is a sought after speaker on subjects relating to business, tax and estate planning across the nation.
