Aaronson Teaches CPE to Texas CPAs

Maxine Aaronson will teach a program entitled Distressed Assets= Distressed Clients? at the CPE Expo sponsored by the Texas Society of Certified Public Accountants in December of 2009. The program will be presented in Arlington, Houston and San Antonio, Texas over a two week period.  Ms. Aaronson’s presentation will focus on the tax consequences of debt restructuring and workouts. She will give particular attention to the tax aspects of income from discharge of indebtedness, abandonment of partnership interests, worthlessness of debt and other assets and the tax consequences of foreclosure of investment properties and personal residences.
